The Truth About Chernobyl

Chernobyl is part of our history - 20 years ago Clif and I met in the wards of the Minsk Hematological Children's Hospital and shared the sorrows of  many people who have been forgotten in their silent suffering. Together we witnessed pain and deaths of dozens of children. And at the same time we showed that there is hope and a way out of despair and fear.

Don't believe what reports of WHO and IAA tell you about 28 deaths in connection to the Chernobyl - there are thousands of people who have died as a result of that tragic event and thousands of other who's life has been changed forever...

DFR has its own answers for the effects of radiation - our  minds are powerful beyond belief!

Dr. Helen Caldicott,  a paediatrician from Australia - has dedicated her life to international campaigns against the medical dangers and health effects of the nuclear age.  She brings the truth about dangers of nuclear energy at the Chernobyl Congress (IPPNW conference) Berlin on Saturday 9th April

The Chernobyl Congress is a German affiliate of the International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War, Physicians for Social Responsibility in cooperation with the Society for Radiation Protection, the Physicians of Chernobyl, the Scientists Initiative for Peace and Sustainability and the Nuclear Free Future Award.

The Congress in Berlin aims to:
- provide information on the effects of Chernobyl
- analyse the risk potential of the nuclear chain
- offer solutions for a world free from the nuclear threat
- present possibilities for action.
