Clif Sanderson

Clif Sanderson is a founder of Deep Field Relaxation and an internationally acclaimed teacher of well-being and spirituality.

He promoted the art of allowing, deep relaxation and application of intention as powerful healing forces in more than twenty countries – in such places as the United Nations and St. John’s Cathedral (New York), St. James Church in Piccadilly (London), The Essalen Institute (California), Heidelberg University (Germany) and The Russian Institute of Technology (Moscow). For three years he was a presenter at ‘Psi-tage’, the largest European congress on parapsychology (Basel, Switzerland). He shared the platform with Nobel Committee member, Dr. Bjorn Nordstrum at the ‘International Congress on Independent Research into Cancer’ (Sydney, Australia). He has been a regular contributor to the ‘Townsend Letter for Doctors’ journal (USA).

Clif was born in the Pacific – Aotearoa, New Zealand. He was a senior graphic designer in Australian TV, owned an advertising agency and even mastered the art of signwriting. While researching,  and directing the documentary “God Doesn’t Play Dice” – his first attempt to merge science mysticism and spirituality - Clif turned into a non-stop traveller, explorer and student of different healing traditions around the world. Long before quantum physics theory became commonly known, he started applying consciousness and intention for purposes of healing and change. Whenever others tell of the impossible, Clif has invariably broken through that belief with innovative, original and inspirational tools. He tested his own beliefs in the “real field” by accepting an invitation to work with the victims of the Chernobyl disaster in Belarus and Russia. Clif participated in numerous medical researches into the effects of energy medicine and intention in treating radiation related illnesses. The Russian Ministry of Health acknowledged Clif’s contribution with the special “Award for Humanitarian Service to Medical Science”.

Clif continues tirelessly building bridges between spirituality and science. As a result of all the incredible experiences, he has become the author of several books and teaches Deep Field Relaxation (DFR) internationally.

Clif sees DFR as a perfect vehicle for turning the concepts of the Universal Field, transformation of consciousness, healing intention as well as love in action, into practical tools for people – whether they suffer from illness, depression or just wish to make their lives more meaningful. This has led him to study the ancient wisdom of the Orient and take an interest in the writings of Edgar Casey, Fritjof Capra, Alan Watts, Dr. Larry Dossey, Dr. Patch Adams, Bruce Lipton, Rupert Sheldrake and other evolutionary thinkers and mystics. 

His most recently completed research in Freiburg University (Germany) showed that DFR brings improvement to the quality of life of terminally ill cancer patients. Professor Harald Walach, director of the Institute of Transcultural Health Sciences at the European University Viadrina(Germany), comments on Clif’s work: “This new and appealing method is a specifically interesting form of non-local healing as it does not involve any form of belief on the part of the patient and is not about any potential influence that may give cause for concern.”
